Happy...Back to School season? Where has the year gone? We've been so busy keeping up with the weeds, filling orders, planting and replanting that we haven't had time to post. While the gardens receive some needed rain today, here are a few updates.
Our produce cooler is finally up and running, thanks in part to Srinergy for their help finishing our solar array. Now you can pick up all the vegetables you need right here, plus eggs, pickles and other products! The farm stand will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10AM-6PM and Saturdays 9-1. You can pay by cash or check and we hope to soon accept SNAP benefits as soon as we have internet access.
This week we'll also start Friday morning yoga classes on the farm taught by Andy Maggetti. Class starts at 9AM and is open to beginners and seasoned yogis alike! Come prepared with comfortable clothes and a yoga mat (recommended); donations will be accepted on a sliding scale or you can contribute an hour's work on the farm after practice.
We can also use volunteer help on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays if you are interested in lending a hand to pick tomatoes, pull weeds, plant seeds or play with the dog! Work starts most days by 9 AM so come anytime after, or text ahead to let us know you're coming. We can also use volunteers to watch the farm stand if you are so inclined.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we'll be back at Eastern Market with a full spread of tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, lettuce, carrots, beets, basil, peppers and more so stop by Shed 2 between 9-3. We also sell by the pound if you have an upcoming canning, pickling or baking project. Hope to see you there...
