Food Field grows all kinds of produce: in 2012, our CSA received lots of the usual items (tomatoes, kale, salad greens, squash) plus garlic, sweet potato greens, radish pods, mulberries and much more. In addition, we are focused on adding animals, fruit and perennial crops to our operation. Last year we planted a mixed orchard with over 100 apples, pears, cherries, plums, chestnuts and paw paws, started a flock of 50 egg-laying chickens and ducks, and installed a 7,000-gallon aquaponics system to start up in Spring 2013 raising catfish and blue gill.
